People’s decision to remain happy or unhappy in life would not affect their health, finds a new study. It is one of a kind study that has broken a big myth that happiness improves a person’s health. Study researchers said that happiness can make you feel better, but not gift you with long life.

The study has rejected the findings of previous research that concluded that being sad will result into bad health and early death. The researchers said that they did not find any direct link between a person’s emotional state and its effect on longevity.
