The recent one celebrates the 166th birth anniversary of jeweler Peter Carl Faberge. He was known to be a perfectionist and took lessons from creative and much revered goldsmiths of his time in France, Germany and England to achieve that flawlessness.
In 1885 he was awarded the title 'Goldsmith by special appointment to the Imperial Crown' by Tsar Alexander III for his superb craftsmanship. There have been many famous works done by him but the most famous is the replica of a 4th century BC gold bangle from the Scythian Treasure in the Hermitage.
