After closing down two of its booking sessions earlier, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) again opened its booking for its XUV500. But seems people are crazy for this model. Only within two days, the company declared that it has done more than 7,200 bookings.

It has been reported that the India’s leading SUV manufacturer, opened up the bookings for the XUV this June 8, 2012. Further, the company announced that the model can now be purchased from more than 100 dealers across the country and also those cities have been included where the model had been introduced earlier even.

Addressing regarding the response achieved by the model, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We would like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt thanks to our customers for the confidence they have shown in us. This overwhelming response in today’s challenging market environment is a testimony to the popularity of the XUV500”.

For sure, there is no doubt that the car has already won several accolades to its account. Talking about its response, bookings are the best proof to support the answer. It seems the customers were waiting for such a model to be launched and then immediately grab it. Till date the car has won 22 awards, including ‘SUV of the year’.
