Inflammation can Cause Alzheimer’s

Expecting mothers need to take a lot of care, as a recent research has revealed that even a minute infection is capable of causing inflammation in the brain of new born, which further can cause Alzheimer's disease.

The study, which has been published in the Journal of Neuroinflammation, was able to reach at the above given conclusion, after conducting an experiment on mice. Lead author of the study Dr. Irene Knuesel, who is from the University of Zurich, which is in Switzerland, said that they noticed a kind of inflammation in the brain of an unborn mouse.

"It seems likely that chronic inflammation due to infection could be an early event in the development of Alzheimer's disease”, said Knuesel. Supporting the study, Dr. Marie Janson, who is from the Alzheimer's Research UK, said that the study findings have clearly indicated that chronic infection is fatal for an unborn, and same has been seen in unborn mouse.

Knuesel was of the view that the study seems to have complicated the puzzle, and it seems that it will take a lot of time to reach at a conclusion. In order to reach at a conclusion, it is vital that an extensive research should be carried out.
