Salt is a Lethal Food Component; Consume Less

A recent study conducted by WCRF, World Cancer Research Fund, the UK charity emphasizes to reduce your intake of salts if you wish to prevent the risk of stomach cancer.

The scientist behind the invention of this research claims that excess of salt is not only harmful for your blood pressure level and heart but it is risky for your stomach as well. When we talk about excess of salt then it not only refers to sprinkling salt over snacks, salads and chips but it indicates towards all those packed food items that contain higher amount of sodium.

Even foods such as bread and breakfast cereals are also high in salt and therefore these are too considered responsible for developing stomach cancer.

WCRF, strictly advice the food manufacturing companies to clearly mention the level of salt available in their food items over the packaging. Before buying a packed food, it is beneficial to check the level of salt or sodium present in it.

In addition, cancer can be prevented through healthy diet, physical activity and weight maintaining programs. So, this UK charity, WCRF, emphasizes to consume less salt and follow these guidelines to stay healthy and live a long life.

As a general advice, the recommended daily limit for salt is 6g, which equals a level teaspoonful. So make sure that you do not take higher contents a day.
