Sibal’s Dream of A Reasonable, High-Tech Tablet Coming True: Aakash 2 to be out

As declared by HRD Minister Kapil Sibal today, very soon an improved version of Aakash will be introduced in the market. In the month of June, this new and much better version of Aakash has been already inaugurated by Sibal at IIT-Bombay.

This economically priced tablet has been specifically designed for students and teachers. It is the first cheapest computer in the world. But if you are taking it to be a poor quality gadget, then hold wherever you are. Being an improved version, it will feature a quicker processor of 800MHz and superior battery life of three hours. In addition, many other qualities like internet access, big and clear screen etc. are there in it, which will not let you just have a look and pass-by.

As said by Kapil during its launch: “It (the idea of low cost computer) was rejected throughout the world and it was said that India would not be able to make it. Our HRD ministry was committed to the Aakash project and ultimately we came out with the first version of the Aakash which costs Rs 2,276”.

Now every single student can afford this useful tablet featured with one of the best technologies. Accessing information over net will be no more difficult now.
