Facebook remains Top Favorite of Indians

An interesting data has been released by ComScore about India’s usage of net. It has been found that Facebook remains the hot favorite of all Indians, with one out of every four minutes being spent on Facebook.

It has also been revealed that 25/2% time being spent in June was on the internet. Though social networking was top favorite of Indians, there are many other sites as well, which have attracted Indians a lot.

Some of the sites to be named entertainment sites, different search portals, and business related sites. If to go in detail then it has been found that entertainment sites usage has gone up by 1.2% for 2011 and that of portals has gone up by 8.8%.

Among best search engines, Google was found to bag the tag, as 95% people used the site to search the things they wanted to find. However, Yahoo! Sites and Microsoft Sites were nest to Google, with 65.5% and 48.1% reach.

"It would be good to have an assurance that in the future, search results, both paid and organic, will give preference to good quality content”, said Gautam Sinha, Chief Operating Officer at e-commerce company while he explained the importance of search engines.
